Trendsetter Diagonal Savvy Bag

I finished one of my UFO's this was one of the items I was knitting for the "Just For Myself - KAL". I was making the Trendsetter Yarns #2434 Diamond Shaped Bag made with Trendsterr Savvy Yarn. Here is an upclose view of my work.

The purse was very easy and very quick to do. Here is the finished project

This was one of the more unique patterns I did. You cast on 40 stitches and the work a decrease right in the center of the stitches first by doing a K1, PSSO before the center marker and then a K2tog right after the center marker. After you do that row you knit the next row completely. Then work the decrease row again. Until you have 26 ridged rows. But that is now what was strange. What was strange after you finish the first side and you bind off then you go back to the cast on row of that finished side and pick up 40 stitches and then work the decrease row and then a full knit row until again you have 26 ridged rows. So really all you have to do is sew up the sides. I made my handle by just double stranding the Savvy yarn and chaining it. I attached the handle on each high point of the top opening. I think it turned out pretty cool. First purse I did for myself. What do you think? ~ Janet
